In 1976, HTV produced a groundbreaking children's television drama which followed the adventures of a scientist, Adam Brake, and his young son Matthew after they arrive in the small village of Milbury, which is held in a strange captivity by the psychic forces generated by the circle of giant Neolithic stones which surround it.

The programme had a huge effect on me as a child, and again when I bought the video as an adult. It led directly to my undying interest in the real-life village of Avebury in Wiltshire, which is indeed surrounded by a circle of stones, Archaeology, my career into Science, and a curiosity for things paranormal.
